Work efficiently with personalized navigation - Use role-based navigation to specify which information users can view.
Portal integrates the GEDYS IntraWare 7 modules Contacts, Office, Sales, Marketing, Mailing, Schedule, Knowledge and Service in a cross-application navigation that you can customize to suit yourself. Use roles such as Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Finance or even Management, Department Head or Team Leader to specify the information that each user can access. Depending on which role you choose, you will see the navigation that has been customized to that role. As well as GEDYS IntraWare 7 modules, other IBM Lotus Notes Domino databases, IBM Lotus Notes mail, executable programs and Internet addresses can also be integrated. The navigation is hierarchical and can include up to three menu levels. You can tell from the icon whether a further navigation level has been opened, or an application inside or outside the Portal, or whether a Web browser has been launched. In addition, you can combine the entries available to you into a personal navigation or Favorites, so all your familiar tools can be accessed quickly and easily.

With Portal you can easily configure your own personal desktop. You can have an overview of all your own e-mails, ToDos and appointments. If you wish you can integrate other GEDYS IntraWare 7 modules and receive an overview of all your contacts, customers and tasks as well. Create your e-mails, appointments, tasks and other documents directly from your personal desktop and assign them automatically to the correct database.
Automatic e-mail and task assignment In conjunction with the GEDYS IntraWare 7 Contacts and Office modules, you can use the integrated mail synchronization to automatically assign incoming e-mails and tasks. You simply place your incoming and outgoing e-mails in the Transfer folder of your mail database. The application then assigns them automatically to the right contacts.
Time-saving, convenient searches - Convenient searching across all Notes databases.
Portal allows you to search through all connected GEDYS IntraWare 7 modules and individual IBM Lotus Notes Domino databases. You can access Quick search directly from the navigation. And in the detailed search, as well as entering search terms, you can also specify the number of hits and document types to be searched. The compact search shows you how many hits were found in the individual databases. Besides the alphanumeric search, which allows you to link search terms and use wildcards, etc., the phonetic search helps you find documents when you are not sure of the spelling. For example, this will find a contact called »Meier« as well as one called »Mayer«. All search results can be sorted and saved for future activities. As well as »Open« or »Open in view«, there are other actions you can perform with the documents in the result list. For example, you can use the other GEDYS IntraWare 7 modules to create or add the following documents: contact (company, business partner), call, meeting, miscellaneous, service call, appointment.
International deployment Portal is a multilingual application, so all employees can use the same application wherever they are based. They simply select the language for their working environment in the settings. Which means it’s easy and quick to create reports even across different countries. Our new Language Configuration technology allows companies to translate some or even all of an application into any language themselves – without the need for additional programming. International companies find that this increases the acceptability of the software in other national organizations.
Easy administrationBy assigning roles to persons and groups via the ACL you can specify which roles are available to your employees. You can also use the Portal to manage access rights to all connected databases centrally.
